Katrina ten\u00eda esperanzas y sue\u00f1os para s\u00ed misma. Pero se desvanecieron r\u00e1pidamente y no sabe c\u00f3mo recuperarlos.<\/p>\n

\"Llev\u00e1bamos m\u00e1s de 13 a\u00f1os entrando y saliendo de la calle, desde que mis hijos eran beb\u00e9s peque\u00f1itos hasta que mi hija cumpli\u00f3 un a\u00f1o. Es muy duro pasar por algo as\u00ed\", afirma.<\/p>\n

Katrina es madre soltera y sab\u00eda que no pod\u00eda quedarse en su coche o en la calle. As\u00ed que muchas, muchas noches, ella y sus hijos se quedaron en un refugio. Aunque era un techo, Katrina sab\u00eda que no era un lugar para criar a sus hijos.<\/p>\n

Esper\u00f3 pacientemente para acceder a una vivienda subvencionada por el gobierno, y la noticia lleg\u00f3 justo a tiempo.<\/p>\n

\"Nos mudamos justo antes de Acci\u00f3n de Gracias. Y eso es lo que quer\u00eda, pasar Acci\u00f3n de Gracias en una casa en vez de en un albergue\".<\/p>\n

Ahora, con un lugar seguro donde dormir por las noches, Katrina se preocupa por las dem\u00e1s necesidades de sus hijos, como conseguirles comida. Eso es porque Katrina no puede trabajar ahora.<\/p>\n

\"Tengo ocho hernias discales en total y da\u00f1os en los nervios. Me est\u00e1 causando muchos problemas. No puedo estar sentado mucho tiempo. No puedo estar de pie durante un turno de 8, 10 o 12 horas. No puedo dar largos paseos\", explica. \"Pero hago todo lo que puedo como madre soltera, como mujer, como persona amable, atenta y cari\u00f1osa\".<\/p>\n

Katrina estaba desesperada cuando encontr\u00f3 ayuda a trav\u00e9s de Feed the Children.<\/p>\n
